Evangelical Women's Day & Michael Jackson

On Monday, I participated in a meeting for evangelical women where over 400 women attended. It was the national Evangelical Women's Day It was wonderful to worship with the women, to learn about the evangelical movement in Chile and to receive an encouraging message for an Argentine pastor. (I had the opportunity to meet the pastor afterwards and I found out that we have a lot of Argentine friends in common I’ve had a productive week here with the EGM-Chile team. We have studied God’s word, prayed together and encouraged one another. We have also participated in productive meetings and have made significant ministry progress.

Tomorrow, we have our quarterly board meeting where we will be discussing the death of Michael Jackson- just kidding but everyone is talking about him and asking me about him as if we were old friends. We WILL be discussing the upcoming plans for the ministry and approving next year’s budget. I will spend the weekend in Santiago and will celebrate the 4th of July with Traci Lawson. We will be bundled up because it is winter down here and it is cold! Traci has been working in Argentina and will continue to work in Chile during the month of August where she will be serving with EGM-Chile and with a few other ministries.

Please pray for my continued health and safety as I travel. A friend invited me to her house yesterday, but I declined after finding out her daughter was recently diagnosed with the swine flu! Also, please pray that we have a productive meeting tomorrow.
