This was the prayer I prayed in the moments when I was completely exhausted and could not think of one more word in Spanish! I can not thank you enough for your prayers. I truly believe they sustained me in the moments when I was out of strength.
Despite some of the “unexpected” experiences that arose (see previous post), the Chile trip was productive and fruitful. It was obvious that the Lord was with us, guiding us and providing for us each step along the way.
A few highlights include:
•Seeing a final draft of the Chilean Spanish curriculum (written lessons) for Sunday school teachers- these will be EGM’s first Spanish publication!
•Being able to work alongside the Chilean team to train 65 Sunday school teachers. They showed up for an all day training seminar after a very strong rain storm almost caused us to cancel it.
•Participating in Sunday school classes. We loved being with the kids and teachers!
•Attending an interactive board meeting with Chilean leaders who love children and love EGM. One pastor had tears in his eyes when he shared about how important children are.
•Being a team- I loved seeing the way that the Chileans embraced Francie and Melissa-You would have thought they were old friends! I loved working alongside the Chileans and learning from each other.
•After the 3 day training with the EGM-Chile staff, it was evident that their understanding of how to teach the Bible to kids in a way that they can apply spiritual truths to their lives had been greatly deepened.
Melissa, Francie and I arrived home safely this morning. Our hearts are thankful for the opportunity we had to participate in the work that God is doing in and through the EGM-Chile team. What a privilege!!!
Thank you so much for your partnership in this very important work!
Much Love and Many Blessings to each of you.
Krysten
